I think that he and his handlers figure that the Conservatives, Rinos, And fence sitters have no where else to go if they are voting against Obama. So if that is true, why not try to gather in more liberal-leaning voters with statements in favor of the Homosexual lobby.

What really gets me going is that he is probably correct since their is no true conservative in the race for President. My vote this year is going for electing the most conservative candidates to office. Maybe that will get his attention?

Short term, they are right. Long term, the GOP will soon no longer be able to win elections. They are already in deep trouble. You can only abuse you base for so long till they split. The abortion issue was set up to keep the two parties in business, and has worked for 40 years. It won't once Mitt moves the party to the pro death camp.

Many will stay home or vote third party. The Republican party needs to get the message that it will give us a conservative nominee or its candidate will lose. That is ONLY way the country will ever move to the right.
