All candidates were saying what TEA party members wanted to hear. It was a race to see who could be the strongest TEA.
Brunner came out of nowhere and spent 2 to 3 million dollars of his own money. He said all of the right things and ran tons of negative adds against Steelman. Was he TEA party enough? We would have to take his word for it.
Steelman comes from a family of lawyers and politicians. I think she would have done a fine job. Was she just jumping on the TEA party wave as a way to get elected? I don’t know. She made enemies in the State Republican party and that is not always a deal killer in my eyes. Early in her career she took a ton of money from the trial lawyers. State treasurer.
Akin is solid and unlikely to have any hidden skeletons. I’m sure someone can find a vote or two and claim that it proves that he is not conservative enough.
Now it’s time to forget all that and do what needs to be done which is send McCaskill’s sorry self packing in November!

“It was Claire McCaskill’s vote that gave us Obamacare!”
