He proposed the bill, then let it die on the vine, unsupported. Lipservice, entirely.
Realistically speaking, with an 80% Dem legislature, any Republican governor would be hard-pressed to accomplish much of anything.
The veto was the main weapon at his disposal, and he didn't hesitate to use it (though unfortunately a large number of his vetos were overturned).
Whether one thinks Romney is preferable to Obama or not, IMO it's important to consider the true facts and circumstances in order to place Romney's record in accurate context.
