20%? Are you basing those numbers on FR sentiment? Because I hope you realize MANY here are Obots and trolls who are given free reign to bash the GOP candidate. I’ve been spending my past few months on other sites, reading twitter, facebook, etc. I can assure you 20% do not share your sentiments(Thank God). Maybe about 2-3%.

When the Whigs were sunk and the Republican party was formed, the first Republican presidential candidate John C Fremont lost the election. He only carried 30% of the popular vote. Maybe you are right, maybe 20% is high; but I reckon they didn't expect a 30% swing in 1856 either. Goode is already pushing 10% in Virginia; I hope to help get the word out and bump that up.

You didn't address my point, however, are you willing to wait 8 to 12 years, at a minimum, for a chance to start over what we've begun these last three years? When August 7th, 2024 rolls around and the GOP(e) have played their games and thrust another Romney on the next generation of voters, will you feel it too late to do anything about it and go along for the ride, again? Will you ever draw a line in the sand?

I don't believe for a minute that most of the anti-Romney crowd are Obots. That's just plain ludicrous. This is Romney's second ride around this park and the same liberal tendencies he held in 2008 are an anchor about his neck in 2012. He hasn't changed his tune and he is getting justly lambasted for it by good conservative people -- same as was done in 2008. This is a conservative blog, not a republican blog.

Mojitojoe, sorry ~ you're the only Obot I've run into lately. And that's even after visits to the Washington Post threads so I will know what they're harping on.

The big topic over there seems to be this idea that Romney is some sort of Conservative ~ what kind they can't imagine, but they're sure he must be only because he's opposing Obama.

It's all very IGNANT of them, but you seem to think there are only two sides here ~ (1) The antichrist the Dems are backing, and (2) The businessman you are backing.

Actually, they're both acolytes of the exact same antichrist ~ so that's only one side.

The OTHER SIDE are the folks in the Republican party or other Conservative or Traditionalist movements who are telling you Republicans are making a fatal mistake if they run Romney.

This must stop now or we are doomed.
