Next thing you know, they’ll have Andrea Yates checking out at some east Texas WalMart.

Andrea Yates resides at the Kerrville State Hospital, a forensic psychiatric facility in Central TX. She's being considered for Day Passes to attend church services on Sundays in the local community.

Considering that Mrs. Yates religiousity played a large part in her murdering her children, and since there is a Chapel which was donated to the facility by the Dietert family, I don't know why she can't attend services on the mental hospital grounds.

Also, I would think that since religiousity played a large part in her feelings of unworthiness, going to hell, demons, etc, perhaps her doctors should discourage religiousity, rather than encouraging it..

BTW, Kerrville State Hospital is anything but secure, people just walk out the front gates, nobody notices they're gone..One psycho has been out for over a month, and is who knows where..Most of them, when the hospital bothers to notify the community in a timely manner are picked up quickly and returned.

I’m with ya on that sockmonkey. I STILL think about that horrible day. It happened so close to us. It was 11 years ago in June. I think of how old those precious angels would be today if it weren’t for that psycho and her dumb-ass husband who left those kids with her. He shoulda been charged with something.....like being STOOPID but unfortunately that ain’t against the law........(sigh). I said east Texas because she started out at Rusk State Hospital. I didn’t realize she had been transferred.

Thanks for the update. That case is still upsetting to think about. I can’t imagine the terror in those sweet kids must have gone through realizing their mother was trying to kill them. Truly a special place in Hades for that monster mom.

Right now, he is unable to control what we, as free people, can express, distribute and/or communicate. Once it goes on the internet, information (good or bad) is free to the world.

Control the internet? That’s a mighty tall order don’t you think? The U.S. is not the only country in the world where the internet flourishes. Will his influence and attempt at control be universal, because it will need to be for him to control the internet. The sooner Americans get rid of this

The nearest Church to Kerrville State Hospital is a large Methodist Church. It’s probably less than a third of a mile from the forensic facility.

Despite her being considered not a danger by the Doctors, what parent would not freak out to see Andrea Yates going to the restroom after a small child goes in, or see her lingering in the hall near the Sunday School Rooms or Daycare.

I used to work at the hospital, and I would freak out. Before it was a forensic hospital, one person deemed not dangerous, by one of their Psychiatrists went on a weekend pass & dismembered his wife with a chainsaw, and cooked her.
