I have a feeling Romney, Boehner, and McConnell will fall into line.

And your basis for that is what? Voodoo? Maybe Obama will sudden;y become a conservative too? Again, I am not saying not to vote for Romney. But that doesn't mean he won't try to stamp out conservatism. Pro-life, pro--marriage, fiscal conservatism, those issues are dead now.

Romney, Boehner, and McConnell are finger-in-the-wind politicians. Go along to get along and get something to sign, something to take credit for, never mind if it's worth anything, never mind if it's actually worth less than nothing. That was how Romneycare got done. Romney wanted to take a stab at reforming health care at the state level. However, given the makeup of the Massachusetts legislature, there was no way he could get a half-way decent bill. But that didn't matter. What mattered was to pass a big deal with his name on it. That was the background of those Faneuil Hall signing pics we see posted here so often.

Romney does not have an anti-conservative agenda. His agenda is himself. He's a technocrat. He scored big in business. He turned around the Salt Lake Olympics. Now it's time for his career to advance again. If we have a major wave election in 2012, Boehner and McConnell will hopefully be replaced, and Romney will turn out to be a decent CEO (he's good CEO material, just not great presidential timber, like Reagan).

Obama, on the other hand, is not a finger-in-the-wind politician. He is a committed commie-fascist, anti-American ideologue. He'll take what he can get out of Congress, but, unlike most of Washington on both sides of the aisle, he is stubborn. Witness the vote on his 2012 budget: 99 to 0 in the Senate, 414 to 0 in the House. He doesn't care. Time for another round of golf or another round of speechifying and fund-raising. Obama is not a normal politician. No normal politician would behave like that.
