I’ll bear the Hi-Power in mind. Would be fine for me, cause I lean more toward the thumb safety anyway. Thanks.
Doofus thugs!
Yep, looking strictly for a deer gun.
I’ve got a nice enough 20 gauge pump with smooth bore for general purpose (took a deer with it). Problem is that even with good ammo like Brenneke you are limited to about 60 to 70 yards on a smooth bore.
I remember Tom talking on one of these shows about rifled slug guns. He said that with the newer rifled barrels and newer sabot slugs that accurate 200 yard shots are a reasonable expectation.
Well he did show up with a couple of jars of home made jam. The last ones he brought were very good so I guess I can cut him some slack:-)

Yes, it would be nice if you could get a rifled barrel for it.
Home made goodies make it worth while.
The one I’m looking at is the slug gun model.
Rifled and ported barrel, monte carlo stock, rifle sights, etc.

They both look good.
Very good. Looks like that’s what you need.
LOL!
Not sure if I “need” it, but it would certainly enhance my chances at killing deer.
I told the wife that so far everyone on this thread has said go for it.
She laughed and said I should get it. :)
(Might think on it for a day or two. Don’t want to wait too long though because the other whitetail hunters will be getting buck fever too.)
LOL! Get it before she changes her mind!
Thanks for the link.
Those H&R’s look pretty nice, also.
Think I’ll pick up one of these tomorrow.

10/22 takedown. Anyone have one of these?
Might have finally found a use for the Vortex Strikefire.
One of these would really enhance your chance of getting some deer(s).

RE the Kimber Eclipse Target. Since I joined IWLA I’ve been doing the NRA National Gallery Pistol course their pistol league does on Tuesdays. Been kicking around buying a competition pistol but I want a 9mm. Wish Kimber had one. The G34 is the most popular but it sure am ugly!
Those are cool.
Tom did a segment on them on one of these shows not too long ago. I think he tried one out at the SHOT Show.
Fairly new product so I don’t know what the availability is.
Did you see one in stock locally?
Take a whole herd with one of those!
(I doubt the DNR would be amused though.)
Don’t know for sure that GT has any, but I’ve already sold my Henry AR7 survival 22 so I could go after the 10/22.
By the way, if anyone is thinking about getting one of those Henry AR7 rifles, I would advise not to. They are really not that accurate and kind of clumsy.
Not mention they are kinda tough to get up in a tree stand:-)
