Bummer!
Kimber SOLO is better than the Shield IMHO.
Good evening and thanks for the reminder.
Came this '' close to buying a shotgun today.
Stopped by Gander Mountain on my way to the hardware store. They've got a Rossi 12 Ga 3" chamber single shot with a 23 inch rifled barrel. Barrel is even ported. Has very nice factory rifle sights and has a factory rail for mounting a scope or red dot on it. Has cheek rest synthetic stock and sling swivel mounts.
It's in such good condition I was surpised to see that it had a "Used Gun" tag on it. They're asking $199 for it. (MSRP for new is $319.00. Looking around the web I see they typically sell for $250 - $285)
The significant other has already kind of given me the go ahead on getting it. What do you guys think? Anyone got experience with them? Do I just have buck fever?
Good evening folks
Have y’all seen the video from the Garden Grove Jewelry Store holdup? The one with the 65 year old owner firing at the holdups?

Hi there!
I went to a local indoor range that has rentals, and tried out a few. They had a good assortment of 9's for rental use... Sigs, Glocks, Berettas, Kahr etc. (none of which I had time to try).
I did shoot three nice pistols.
First was the CZ-75. I have to admit- I was impressed. Felt very comfortable, even in my small hands. After figuring out the sights with the first round, I was all 9s and 10s on the target. Target re-acquisition after each round was easy and almost instinctive.
Next I tried the XD. I have no doubt that it's a fine weapon, but I never got comfortable with the grip safety. Had one stove-pipe, and several "failure to feed", but I'm certain that was my fault, not the gun.
Finally, the range employee suggested I try a Dan Wesson 1911 chambered in 9MM. All I can say is "WOW". Granted it was only seven yards, but I was tearing up the 10 ring. I don't have the funds for something like that, but it sure was a joy to try out.
At least now I'll have a little more info when I go to the gun show in a couple of weeks. All things being equal, if I can find a private seller with a good price on the CZ, I think I'm convinced that is a good way to go.
Again, thanks to all who chimed in last week.
I found out today that my Kahr does not like Speer Lawman 9mm 115gr TMJ. Had about 3 failures to feed. The 124gr Winchester NATO FMJ I was shooting did not seem to have a problem.
I think maybe the 115gr bullet is too pointy or something. What do you think?
Didn’t you say you picked up a Solo? If so, have you had it long enough to give a report? It looks pretty appealing to me, but I heard early models had some problems.
Looks nice, but single shot?
Holy Crap That’s funny!
Looks like the scene from Animal House when they killed the horse using blanks.
Very Cool deo, glad you found a go to gun that fits you.
I don’t think you can go wrong with a Dan Wesson. They are fine weapons.
I am glad you found the CZ to be a pleasant experience.
I'm down to about 14 handguns and while I carry a Glock daily, nothing is more accurate and comfy on the range than my 1911's. Every man needs at least one.
I do know from experience, the first shot counts in deer hunting. Any subsequent shots after that are just spray and pray because by then they are running 220 MPH away from ya.
LOL! I love a happy ending!
I think you should not use Speer Lawman in that Kahr!
I gotta agree with mylife on this. Single shot?
You can get Pardner Protector new for the same $$$

Check out the reviews on the web. Most are very good. I have 2 of them and would agree with most reviews.

Gotta walk the beast.
Be right back.
