Woman laughs, accidentally swallows knife
Los Angeles Times ^ | August 3, 2012 | Rosie Mestel

"Unexpected Swallowing of a Knife" -- that's a grabbier title than most ones you see in medical journals.

The short item, a clinical image in this week's New England Journal of Medicine, explains that a 30-year-old woman with a history of bulimia had been bragging to friends that she no longer had a gag reflex. She put the knife into her mouth and then laughed -- at which point she swallowed the knife.

And what does it mean that the male cat is “neutered”?

Also....

Why do they call it fixed when they really mean broken.

"delete 2nd “up” : )"

Can you imagine what kind of day they were having when it was decided to name their new beverage "Seven Up"?

It's like crossing stuttering with Tourettes Syndrome.

". . . they'll find me passed out in the bathtub with 50 empty bottles of Hershey's chocolate syrup. ;0 "

That's your picture I've seen around, then.

Very charming, in a finger-lickin' way.

They're confused. Personally, I am perfect the way I am.

On the other hand, Jake is out in the rain and won't come in, and the hoomins are about to go to bed ... so neutering didn't fix whatall is wrong with him.

Rain and cake don't mix well. Nor do heat a cheese.

” Someone left the cake out in the rain and I'll never have the recipe again.”

You can have your cheese cake and eat it to only if you stay out of the rain.

So if you had a collection of crazy cat ladies, how many would be going to St. Ives?

If St. Ives had large bags of catfood on sale, most of them would.

How have the evening light shows been this year?

Pretty lousy, actually. I've only heard thunder twice, and it wasn't very close.

There have been some fairly fantastic light shows in previous years, though.

Sionnsar used water balloons on one fellow dorm resident who habitually partied loudly all night until all hours of the morning to teach him a lesson. It worked. ;-)

We finally got out of the blistering 80s and 90s - humidity was unacceptably high.

I will dance and pray for rain for all the areas that are suffering drought and fires, especially.
