But since she probably received no monetary compensation for it, they should keep her on staff and "salaried."
She's "earned" it.

Couldn’t agree more.
NY Mag has her classified as “author” so they must have a very loose definition of writers.
If they payed her what she’s worth she’d starve to death so they should pay her just that.
