It's called "leadership," and "doing the right thing."

Why would we need any politician to lead us in a mission in support of our faith?

That's the purview of church leaders, not politicians.

Hogwash. These are matters of crucial fundamental public policy, domestically, and in terms of our national security.

You really need to read through the First Amendment someday ~ most likely an enormous task for any Mittbot ~ but it talks about free speech, free press, religious freedom, assembly, a variety of matters ~ they are all in there together.

It's not up to the preachers to be the exclusive vendors of the details ~ unless, of course, you belong to a peculiar church found predominantly in the Intramountain West ~ then I guess somebody speaks for you so you just don't understand what this means to everybody else.
