Once my life hit bottom, I became a Christian for REAL. My LIFE belong to Him, no longer me.

I think Adam and his wife lived their first 25-30 yrs as the first type I’ve described here.

Sadly there are a lot of people who fit the first definition....I might be one...it's a very easy trap to fall into!!!
