Reminds of an old cartoon I saw years ago; a man asks a woman if she likes Kipling, she replies I don’t know, I’ve never Kippled.

LOL! That may have come from James Kenneth Stephen's poem, in part:

When mankind shall be delivered
From the clash of magazines,
And the inkstand shall be shivered
Into countless smithereens:
When there stands a muzzled stripling,
Mute, beside a muzzled bore:
When the Rudyards cease from Kipling
And the Haggards Ride no more.

Rudyard Kipling and H. Rider Haggard were a pain in his butt. Sorta like me for some folks here. ;)

Cooks read a lot of stuff from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th century.
