Yes and no. Like many of the “Pro-Choice” crowd when engaged in a conversation they say “I think _____ is morally wrong BUT what you do is your business”. Or my personal favorite “It’s between them and their god”. (/so last comment)
I have heard this several times this week about gay marriage.
It is a little more personal for me. About 3 years ago my niece decided after her divorce that she was a lesbian. She is pretending to get married in a pagan ceremony this fall. While I wouldn’t consider her married, I am more upset by the fact that she is a card-carrying pagan than a lesbian. It breaks my heart that she rejected Christ. She was not raised that way. Yet, like so many things in her since she was a teen, she does stuff to pi$$ off her parents. When there is no shock value to be had, she will abandon this woman. The other woman, however misguided, deserves better than to be used for revenge and discarded. Don’t defend her parents though, the way she responds is the way they treated her.
That’s a very sad story. My sympathies.
It is perfectly obvious, at least to me, that tolerance is not what they want. As can be seen by the reaction to the rather tame comments of Mr. Chicken, they will insist on having all opposition banished from polite society. Once that has been accomplished, they will start demanding ritual public expressions of approval.
