After rolling in the the monthlies a couple days ago, we're now over SEVENTY-FOUR percent and going strong!! Woo hoo!! Less than 26% to go!!

French with English subtitles. The life story of Coco Chanel from her being dumped in an orphanage with her sister by their father, who never returned for the girls, through her taking the low-born French woman's path (the only one available at the time) of becoming the mistress of a rich man, to her spectacular success in hat and clothing design in high fashion. It's a fascinating show, rich and lush. We really enjoyed it, and gave it ★★★★
"Machete" with Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Savini
Check out that CAST!! For Jeff Fahey alone [swoon!!!] This movie is a cartoon-like story with live-action actors about our troubles with the illegal alien problem in Texas. It is so far over the top, and the American police, Border Patrol, politicians, and agents are so evil, that it's actually funny. BEWARE of the very naked ladies and very gory deaths throughout, however, they're also ludicrous and seem to be played for laughs. NO KIDS AT THIS ONE! The actors did a great job, and after we got over being angry at the portrayal of Americans and realized that it was a spoof, we gave it ★★★★
