I may be wrong about this, but my recollection is that the Boy Scouts accept homosexuals as members, but just not as Scoutmasters. Is this correct? It makes a big difference in the claims and consistency of the arguments that people often make against the Scouts.
They have a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for both adults and youth. If you announce that you are gay while a youth, your membership will be cancelled. They don’t go looking to find out that you are - it’s when you openly admit it that they take action.
