the Republican party doesn't need to do a thing to motivate turnout. Obama has done it for them.

Anecdotically, I got a call tonight from a Romney polling firm asking if they can count on me to vote for Mitt on election day. Yes! They thanked me for my future vote, and said that Mitt would be nearby soon for a rally (northern Virginia) and I could see him there.

I told her that I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in seeing him and that I really don't want to vote for him -- I am just voting against the marxist.

She laughed out loud and told me that most of the people she called said the same thing. I tried, but couldn't keep her on the line to get any more info. ;-)

hey wvguy - I live in northern Virginia and I don't particularly want to see him either! I am a Palin fan and did see her and McCain at a rally in Fairfax City in 2008. It was great - it was outdoors and overflowing and the traffic jam was awful, but it was worth it.

However, I am hopeful with Romney. At least he is fighting back and has made a few good speeches in recent weeks and he was great in Israel and Poland.

However, getting Obama out is the goal and anything beyond that is extra at this point.
