NEWTOWN -- Republican contenders in the 5th Congressional District race went on the warpath Thursday, attacking their opponents and arguing about who is the most conservative candidate.

Bernier, when allowed to ask a question of one of the candidates, asked Roraback how he would have voted on federal legislation to ban the practice of "gender selection abortions."

Roraback, a self-described libertarian on social issues, said that while he found the practice "nothing more than despicable," Roe vs. Wade is the law of the land, and he "would not vote for any bill that would violate the rights outlined by the U.S. Supreme Court."

Roraback is Liberal Democrat falsely claiming to be a Republican. He is pro cap-n-trade, anti-2nd Amendment, anti-death penalty, pro-gay marriage, and now pro-gender-selection-abortion.

His response was not applauded but was boo'ed. What a disgrace.

Thanks for the primary reminder. Although where I live used to be in the 5th district, we're stuck in the 'RAT-controlled 1st district now. That idiot John Larson will be in the House for life, mark my words.

I agree - Roraback is a particularly unacceptable RINO and should be sent packing! Sure wish I could vote in the 5th district election...
