And their time is going to be short. They better start thinking about leaving the country or facing prison or worse.

Chick-fil-A probably has a lawsuit against Chicago, Boston, San Francisco and Washington D.C. just because of the threats against them by the elected officials there. Seems to me that’s de facto harm, coming from government officials acting under color of law.

But why bother suing, when Holder’s Justice Department will pounce on this in the name of protecting the Constitution?

Yeah, that’s the ticket. Any day now. Sure thing.

Fascism is state control over resources and the means of production presumably to increase effiency for the nation. The Italian version being the textbook example. What we’ve got is more like a kleptocracy. Just outright looting and spreading the booty around, with laws designed to protect the looters and stifle dissent. There is no “big picture” here of some eventual communist utopia. It’s just a giant smash-and-grab of wealth and power.

Fascists deny that democracy should decide whether or not you have a right to engage in business. They suggest, instead, that political actors, armed with a vague sense of the general will, ought to enforce that vague sense rather than the law.

Fascism is the seizure of control over production and distribution and exercises the power of ownership in a country where private property exists in name only and the owners of property are reduced to the status of government functionaries.

It’s classic bullying, in it’s purest form. The media is acting as the bullies enablers. You know... we’ve gone full circle now. All those open-minded liberals are now the “establishment press” and “working for the man”. Rather ironic wouldn’t you say.

Scratch a progressive and a totalitarian is revealed. It may not always be the case but it’s the way to bet.

It's deeply dangerous. And it's becoming the ugly new attitude of the Democratic Party elite.
It isn't new.

They've had this attitude since the counter-culture movement took over the party back in the 70's.

They simply feel they no longer have to hide it.

"Fascist" is a label that is far too loosely applied, but in this case Shapiro is pretty close. Under the fascist economic model an individual may own property but may employ it only under the guidance, and to further the interests, of the state. You could split hairs and say this isn't quite that but it's awfully darn close.

What it is under less theoretical terms is a gross abuse of power by an elected official acting in a dictatorial fashion. If we hung a few of them for it every so often we wouldn't have this problem.
