Why is it that Democrats are permitted to have personality cults over their leaders, and not Republicans? The liberals swoon over JFK, RFK, Ted Kennedy, and their camelot fairy tales. We are always required to worship FDR for supposedly getting us out of the Great Depression, and for fighting fascism. What about the cult of the ObamaMessiah?
I admit that I am a Palin cultist. I love our conservative heroes - Calvin Coolidge, Robert Taft, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, and Sarah Palin, as much as the Democrats love their heroes.

Because they’re idiots, and we’re not. Their latest cult leader led them off a cliff ... which tends to happen when you put all your faith in one fallible person rather than in the ideas that drive them.
I disagree with Cheney. But, his is not a completely unreasonable opinion. He likes Palin, but he doesn’t think she was ready for prime-time. Whatever. I think he’s completely wrong ... but it doesn’t undermine his credibility with me.
