Don't expect to see Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney on an elk hunt anytime soon.
The former Alaska governor slammed Cheney Tuesday for his assertion that it was a mistake to put her on the 2008 GOP ticket, saying the former vice president was being influenced by the "lamestream media."
Appearing to reference a now-infamous incident from 2006 when Cheney accidentally shot a campaign contributor on a quail hunt, Palin said sarcastically that Cheney was not known for his "misfires."
"Seeing as how Dick excuse me, Vice President Cheney never misfires, then evidently he's quite convinced that what he had evidently read about me by the lamestream media, having been written, what I believe is a false narrative over the last four years, evidently Dick Cheney believed that stuff and that's a shame," Palin said in an appearance on Fox News.

Cheny is another one of those Socialist Oligharchs of the RINO variety that needs to be purged
I used to semi -respect Cheny but always thought he was just another war mongering jingoistic cheerleader for the military industrial complex who has no problem wasting our kids lives to play frivolous unnecessary war games
Now I just see him as an idiot
Yes, Sarah was more experienced than Obama, but that’s damning with faint praise.
Cheney is entitled to his opinion. Sarah is running for anything.

Cheney is entitled to his opinion. Sarah is *not* running for anything.
That Sarah Palin had been governor for two years in 2008 is a false narrative written by the lamestream media?
Dick Cheney doesn't think two years as governor qualifies a person for the vice presidency - and he doesn't make an exception for Sarah Palin. That's all. Right or wrong, it's no reason to throw him off the bus.
I don't see him as any kind of saint.
Then he has these convenient parochial social issues...his daughter's a dyke, so we all have to celebrate the fact by changing the definition of marriage?
Some people just need to RETIRE.
It is baffling. Cheney has been a politician for a long, long time, and his comment didn't reflect his political experience.
Unless his intention was to fire up the conservative base in support of Palin, then it really was a mis-fire.
RINOS have been “reaching across the aisle” compromising with the Democrats, all they have left are bloody stumps and it now appears the Dems have bitten off their heads... so they’ve lost their minds... literally!
Does she still even have that big of a following around here ? For a while I almost thought even many posters here were turning on her after she publicly came out in support of Title IX - even though she never expressed support for destroying men’s teams to fill quotas - and tried to get in touch with her feminist side and go on about how a woman president is needed to fix the mess men created and what not. I thought many traditional conservatives here withdrew at least some of their support after that.
Great comparisons.
I think you are sadly misinformed as to the proclivities of Freepers.. and by the way quit spamming Freepers on mail.
Poor ol’ Cheney
Sarah Palin too polite, and no one has openly suggested the old war horse himself was a historic mistake for VP in 2004
He may have cost the GOP the 2008 election because his health was incapable of allowing him to be a viable nominee to succeed W, thus we got the idiot McCain
McCain was the one who lost, he was downright embarrassing to watch, especially when he clinched his defeat by suspending his campaign to race back to Washington to lead the GOP charge into TARP
Interviewer should have asked Cheney if McCain’s nomination was a “mistake”? Or do ol’ boys from da Senate not diss each other by admitting this?
Cheney is entitled to his opinion.
Never said he wasn’t. His opinion is a load of c—p, though.
And what did Sarah do? She should of taken the high road and said something like “He is entitled to his opinions even if I disagree with them” instead of tying to be funny.
She should of taken the high road and said something like He is entitled to his opinions even if I disagree with them instead of tying to be funny.
I think she took the high road by suggesting he misfired. And it was funny, too.
RINO’s have declared open season on conservatives... see Bachmann
She was funny and she didn’t say anything offensive, I bet Cheney thought it was funny too
‘
‘I think she took the high road by suggesting he misfired. And it was funny, too.’
YUP SHE ACTUALLY SHOULD HAVE TAKIN HIM ON A TRIP ON THE ROAD TO AROUND THE BACK OF HER WOODSHED IN WASALLA....SEE THATS WHERE ADULTS TAKE FOLKS WHO TALK LIKE YOUNGSTERS TO INSTILL SOME SENSE INTO THEM.....YER LUCKY DICKEY...I’D SORT OF SHUT THE YAP FROM HERE ON IN...AND BTW....GET YER CARCASS TO THE TAMPA CONVENTION ...YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU TO BACK OUR GREAT NOMINEE THE MAGNIFICENT MITT....NOW ‘HAUL A@@’
