The Chick-Fil-A I went to had computer problems because they were so good at taking orders that they had about 200 orders in the queue (line) that had been taken and paid for, and the employees were trying to fill.
They had a massive lunch crowd such that some people came back (to try to get in) around 2pm to 2:30pm.
People said they wanted to purchase at Chick-Fil-A despite the lines and problems to send a message.
I overheard the guy in front of me saying he had to pick up his granddaughter in an hour, so I let him order ahead of me. He then offered to pay for my order. He told me he really did not want to order chicken, but he wanted to show his support.
I thought about leaving without picking up my meal, but I was curious about how well the computers were working in this situation.
I doubt McDonalds or any other restaurant could have done as fine a job as Chick-Fil-A did.
My biggest concern was that employees needed a break before the Dinner Rush.
I certainly hope Chick-Fil-A considers a special bonus for all the employees that worked today...
