Add to that, Chick-fil-A phobes.
From Romney, May 12, before all hoo-rah about chik-fil-A. (Let’s see if he sticks by this)

In his commencement speech at Liberty University on Saturday, Mitt Romney revealed the snack that helped him outlast the rest of the Republican candidates during the primaries: chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A.
Romney shared the stage at Liberty with Truett Cathy, the 91-year-old founder of the popular restaurants, who was receiving an honorary doctorate at the graduation ceremony, when he told the graduates that he always stops the campaign bus when he sees his secret snack weapon:
In some ways, it is fitting that I share this distinction with Truett Cathy. The Romney campaign comes to a sudden stop when we spot a Chick-fil-A. Your chicken sandwiches were our comfort food through the primary season, and there were days that we needed a lot of comforting. So, Truett, thank you and congratulations on your well-deserved honor today.
I hope all of these people stop buying General Mills cereal as well; I’ve found that Shop Rite’s Toasted Oats are an absolutely acceptable alternative.
Catering to people that don’t breed is the epitome of bad business decisions...
Scott, was there last week when this all blew up and it was PACKED then too. Had to go else where because of limited time. Saw a lot of uniforms there too.
Bravo Zulu!! God bless you for that.
Family and I went to CFA near us in St. Peters, MO. We got there just before 5pm and lines were already amazing. By the time we left, they were out the door.
I am the most encouraged, most heartened I’ve been in a long, long time. We are NOT alone!!
My daughter’s shift at CFA is being extended 1.5 hours making it a 10 hour shift. It’s probably going to be difficult for her to get up at 5am tomorrow for her 6am morning shift...
...eat mor chikin...
Producer:Okay Shep, it's 'National Intolerance Day' before the cut in 5,4,3,2,1..
Mr. Shepard:...tune in for that and it's National Intolerance Day.
cut to break.
me: post to FR for verification.
The Chick-Fil-A I went to had computer problems because they were so good at taking orders that they had about 200 orders in the queue (line) that had been taken and paid for, and the employees were trying to fill.
They had a massive lunch crowd such that some people came back (to try to get in) around 2pm to 2:30pm.
People said they wanted to purchase at Chick-Fil-A despite the lines and problems to send a message.
I overheard the guy in front of me saying he had to pick up his granddaughter in an hour, so I let him order ahead of me. He then offered to pay for my order. He told me he really did not want to order chicken, but he wanted to show his support.
I thought about leaving without picking up my meal, but I was curious about how well the computers were working in this situation.
I doubt McDonalds or any other restaurant could have done as fine a job as Chick-Fil-A did.
My biggest concern was that employees needed a break before the Dinner Rush.
I certainly hope Chick-Fil-A considers a special bonus for all the employees that worked today...
Same thing was happening by 12:15 PM at the one in Northpark Mall, Davenport IA. Which is why I made sure to get there before 11 (it also helped that I had business to tend to in that neighborhood).
Manager of some stripe said they did some a $4000 and $3800 hour at the store we were at - they average $2700 on Saturday lunches.
Our CFA was packed and cop directing traffic at 9:30 pm. It might have been packed because of the two Church busses in the parking lot.
I waited 30 minutes for lunch, and the staff were still going strong...
Quoted because it is so very true!
The closest one to me had a line of cars wrapped around the building at least 3 times, out to the highway. I couldn’t get near it, but my wife managed to snag some breakfast this morning.
The local media is definitely reporting it here in TN. I’m reading on FB, Twitter, and local news that all the area restaurants had to close about 8 or 8:30 due to a lack of food. One store even ran out of ICE...
Chick-fil-A across form the chandler Mall (Chandler AZ) was packed with hundreds at 5:30 this afternoon. The lines kept getting longer. Employees were serving water to all in line and all very cheerful. The crowds were amazing. Employees handled the crowd so efficiently and were so very nice.
That's not what he said though. He said National Intolerance Day.
On a day devoid of any groundbreaking or utterly stupid proclamations from either candidate, what was occurring Nationally? What was beginning to dominate the news? Chick-fil-A appreciation day. I contend that Mr. Shepard was intimating that event as being intolerable.
If he had meant what you are saying he is right about, then why didn't he say that? Being clever for our entertainment should be reserved for the job title of fool, not news journalist.
