People across the country are flocking to Chick-fil-A today, not because of the fast-food chain's chicken sandwiches, but because of its CEO's vocal support of traditional marriage.
Nearly 600,000 supporters signed up to celebrate Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day today, which former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee created to counter a boycott launched by gay marriage activists last week after Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy said he was "guilty as charged" for not supporting gay marriage...
Courtney Clem, 22, strolled over to the Chick-fil-A in Crystal City, Va., to pick up lunch for her entire office and show her support. Clem said she wanted to eat at Chick-fil-A today not only because she supports traditional marriage but because she supports the First Amendment.
"We want to support their right to an opinion," Clem said. "I do support that opinion. And the right. Even if it was an opinion I disagreed with, I'd be here today. "

Gay rights groups launched a national boycott of the chicken chain last week, which the mayors of Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Washington, D.C., have publically supported.
The Philadelphia City Council is considering a resolution to condemn the company for what councilman Jim Kenney called their "Anti-American attitude."
D.C. councilman Marion Barry tweeted that he does not support "hate chicken," Boston's Mayor Thomas Menino said there is "no place for your company" in his city and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the restaurant's "values are not Chicago values."
The Chicago Republican Party is making a formal complaint against Emanuel today, alleging that the mayor has "broken civil rights laws pertaining to religious freedom and the First Amendment in denying Chick-fil-A a permit...
National conservative figures have responded to the controversy with an outpouring of support for the restaurant.

Ha! :-)
Hey Phillie...Chicago.....Boston.......DC......SF.....Get bent.
Just returned from lunch at the Chik.
Hundreds of people. Out the door lines. Tables in parking lot.
Talked to manager. Previous one day sales record was 1700. At 12:15 they had just passed 2600.
This was the scene at the Suffolk, VA CFA at 12:30 EDT today. People were parked as far as a couple blocks away. The turnout was incredible!
At his upset victory party last night, Ted Cruz, the next Senator of TX, treated everyone to Chick-Fil-A goodies. The TEA Party is on a roll!
I just saw a news report on Channel 4, Dothan, Alabama.
The Chick-Fil-A on the traffic circle has so many cars that traffic on that side of town is completely jammed. They literally have more people than they can possibly handle.
I recommend we do this once a week until the queers and their supporters STFU about the homo “marriage” issue.
Way to go! Amazing turnout, kuddos to Virginians in Suffolk.
Way to go!
cool
Maybe the leftists will think about it next time before assaulting the freedom of thought..... oh no they won’t
Amazing to hear all of this. And invigorating too.
AMEN to that!!!!!!
I made my stop this morning. They open for breakfast at 6:30; got there a little before 7. There were 5 cars in front of me, and probably 20 cars parked in the lot. When I left I had trouble getting out of the lot because the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building; probably a dozen cars in line.
I could not get into my local Chick-Fil-A at lunch today—literally.
The left turn lane of the road was backed up with some 30 cars. I got in the right lane, drove past, turned around, and drove into the grocery parking lot next to the Chick-Fil-A. I got out of my car and saw that there was a line of people coming out the door and starting to wind around the building.
Packed would be an understatement.
You said it - and this now proves that a push-back is possible. Everyone’s been sitting on their hands for years, while this agenda kept creeping up. If it took Chick-Fil-A to shake things up, then hallelujah. Isn’t it funny that Dan Cathy had no idea what his remarks would beget? And the rainbow agenda surely was not expecting this blow-back.
Great to hear.
Situations like this are exactly the reason why we don’t have a ‘majority rule’ democracy. People have a right NOT to be persecuted for their thoughts and opinions. It’s exactly that same right that fringe groups such as the gay movement count on to establish their own standing. Funny they should want to deny that right to others!!
