Mr.(Michael) Berenstain has been working on a series of faith-based children’s books with his mother. The series is known as the Living Lights series. He comments on writing about this topic saying, “my parents and I have always been aware that we’ve had a huge amount of enthusiasm from religious families, people of all religions, but especially from Christian families, so the idea of doing books specifically about faith issues has been in the back of our minds.” The series is published by Zonderkidz, a division of the HarperCollins Company. Alicia May, Vice President of Marketing says that the company “is thrilled to receive constant positive feedback from families and retailers about these new Berenstain Bears books. He and his wife, Andrea, live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and his three children are all in college.
