Joianne Fraschilla is a lesbian mom in New Jersey whose son has been eager to visit the petting zoo at the WhiteBriar Bed & Breakfast they pass by regularly.
This week, they noticed a sign outside the B&B promoting tomorrows Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day organized by Mike Huckabee, as well as the message One man, one woman, one God.
Fraschilla wrote on the B&Bs Facebook wall that she would not be bringing her son there because she was disappointed a local business was anti-equality. She received the following response, presumably from WhiteBriar co-owner Carole Lokan-Moore:
"Isnt it wonderful Joanne Fraschilla, that you and your son can enjoy the animals here because I have a traditional marriage with a husband who works with me 90 hours a week to take care of these animals, and the summer camp .were 66-68 years old .there were no gays or queers in our time ..if two old ladies chose to live together..so be it, let them deal with God when they get there but to have the face sucking thrown in my face of two gay lesbians who are totally destroying the normal balance in a childs life as you claim your son where is the role model that your son needs to know how to act like a man? or will he only see the one sided selfishness of a single parent and end up an out cast in society by being gay himself because he didnt have a father as a role model. Ill pray for you .remember what the bible says: Lay down with dogs, get up with fleas ..guess thats why God invented aids
THIS LOCAL BUSINESS WILL BE ONE MAN ONE WOMAN ONE GOD MAKES MARRIAGE .AND PROUD TO DO SO .YOU SHOULD BE SO LUCKY TO OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS."
Fraschilla has started a Change.org petition calling on WhiteBriar to apologize for the indefensible comment.
Its worth noting that Lokan-Moore ran for the New Jersey Senate, but lost in the GOP primary having garnered only 416 votes.
Many conservatives have asked why it matters what Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy personally believes, and the very easy answer is that words hurt...
it is the kind of remark that will automatically provoke the response of bigotry.
“Oh, my!”
Yeah. Try entering litigation in the state of New Jersey (as the legal posters are implying this case may go there) and you might not want to seem bigoted before the courts. Not if you are trying to avoid legal fees and business penalties. I am sure your attitude would be different in that case.
“I am sure your attitude would be different in that case.”
No.
This is worth watching, though. Let’s see.
Fair enough, but I am sure you would want your fees or financial penalties as small as possible. Yes, we will see what unfolds in this case. Cheers.
Some words were, some were not. There is no basis for claiming AIDS is God’s punishment for homosexuality. We cannot know that. It is that kind of comment that crosses the line and makes reasonable Christians look like fools.
As I said, there were far more gracious ways to say what she said and not open the rest of us up to baseless criticism.
Jesus was always loving and gracious in pointing out sin, was He not?
Jesus was never loving and gracious when pointing out sin. He referred to the temple leaders as a den of vipers. And more, he was uncompromising, judgemental and angry. Why preecisely do you think he was killed?
Your feminized Jesus is not found in scripture. Nor should it be found among his believers. The lady was precisely correct. The wages of sin is death. AIDS is a clear and distinct punishment for the ugliest and most vulgar form of sin, homosexuality.
Was that lie you told about what the lady said about AIDS an accident, or did you purposely tell the lie?
They can seek to shame them all they want. They clearly are not buyin’ it.
The guys on the liberal site I frequent try it with me. I drive them nuts when their usual tactics have no effect.
I see others have noticed your statement too, And also that you haven’t apologised.
That’s unfortunate, it makes it seem as though the lie was deliberate. If so, people like you give Christianity a bad name.
NO!
Remember the Temple incident, for starters?
Ask her what the average lifespan is for a gay man. Last time I read about it the average lifespan for a gay male is in the 40’s.
I guess you are a little lacking in the inference department. When you send out an angry message and end it with “guess thats why God invented aids” the inference is pretty clear.
Her statement, other than that, was a respectable response rant. Had she ended it where she should have, with the “Ill pray for you” part, it would have been response.
I don’t feel I need to apologize for calling it like I see it. Any objective reader would reach the same conclusion, given the context of her message.

“Of course you are entitled to your lifestyle”
Why would she want to lie?
1. It’s not a lifestyle. It’s a mental and spiritual disorder that manifests as a compulsion to engage in loathsome perversions.
2. No one is “entitled” to anything that is an abomination in God’s eyes.
We men may allow ourselves to be cowed into failing to take action against destructive and self-destructive behavior, and even allow people to preach that it’s a good thing and the afflicted should not seek treatment, but God is the source of all rights, and there can never be a right to anything that offends Him.
“Any objective reader would reach the same conclusion, given the context of her message.”
Only a person maliciously intent upon drawing the worst possible inference would reach the conclusion you did.
You nailed it dsc. Thanks.
Knowing the B+B owner..she probably DID right the e-mail, (she doesn’t mince words)..I did not ask her personally if she wrote the e-mail as posted due to the fact she REALLY does not have a care in the world and this will not affect her or her business in any way...as for the single mother she is a nice person who innocently expressed her opinion and was kinda shocked/offended at the response...I chalk it up to a generational issue...61 vs early 20’s..
I have asked someone very close to the lesbian mother why would they run/go to the government(change.ORG) to start a petition requesting/demanding an apology?...all I got was an eye roll....LOL...
This is now a dead issue all the press has gone on to chick fill-A..
You're right, it's a dead issue now that the Presstitutes have moved on to the new item on their "agenda".
Maybe the single mom will come to her senses and let some neutral minded friend take the little boy to see the animals, and just have a good time.
