Jerusalem is the historic capital of the Jewish nation. Those who say otherwise are liars.
However, what will have been unleased when all of Jerusalem is securely and totally in control of the Jews?
It is interesting to see who advocates it and who obstructs it.
2 Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying , Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep , all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. .... 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish , but that all should come to repentance.
The Bible indicates that God intentionally holds off the end so that as many as possible can find salvation. We see in Luke & Romans a message that outreach, particularly to non-Jewish peoples, will peak and then dwindle to a trickle, and that that time is of great significance.
Compared with Luke 21:
Lu 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled . 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring ; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken
And Paul adds to the mystery in this from Romans 11
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in . 26 And so all Israel shall be saved
The fullness of the gentiles coming in does not say "all of the gentiles have come in", but it does seem to indicate that there are diminishing returns on efforts, that the storehouse is nearly full and not much more will fit easily inside. This Sodom-like culture in today's world does indicate an extreme unwillingness to listen to the words of God.
Are the times of great Revivals among gentiles drawing to an end?
Is this the time spoken of by Paul to the Thessalonians?
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Jerusalem fully in the hands of the Jews, and Romney promoting it and Obama fighting it. Both of those men full narcissists, and each in their own way seeing himself as godlike, and each worshipping a strange god (may the force be with you?) not of their fathers.
