I thought they did that the day prior to the event. Am I wrong? If I am not then what were the goals of the event? I have asked a couple of simple questions—what did he hope to accomplish and what did he accomplish—and I have been told he assembled a lot of people and pumped some money into the local economy. I just have to believe that Mr Beck had more in mind than that, but asking his fans here only gets you insults and invective. Seems to me a lot of folks around here could benefit from some serious preaching.

The “event” lasted three days, not one.

The goals were the same as any of his events: organize, motivate, educate, and give something back along the way. This particular weekend was about reconnecting the common thread of worldwide conservative spiritual values. Apparently, it was a smashing success, far surpassing his expectations in regards to attendance, volunteerism, and global networking.

You have a short memory with regards to your own posting history in this thread.

The overarching goal of Restoring Love is to act as an antidote to the acidic hatred that the occupier in the White House has been fomenting for years. Barry’s Marxist crowd would LOVE to have riots in the streets so they can snap the trap on us.

They would LOVE for those who lost their jobs and homes to be beholden to the ever-expanding collectivist government to take care of them, because they can no longer care for themselves and their families.

The larger idea of Restoring Love was to showcase what individuals can and will do for each other, with no pay, no recognition ... just the deep reward in our hearts and souls to the right thing for our neighbor... voluntarily and not as forced by the government. These many, many acts of charity are just the beginning of an ongoing movement.

If people in need know that their neighbors are willing and ready to help, they don’t need to become dependent on the government that would gleefully enslave them forever on their brand of false, forced charity. And they will not feel compelled to take part in food riots, water riots, Occupy riots...

It’s about demonstrating to those who would be picked off by the Marxists that they don’t HAVE to have their souls harvested by the soulless...

I think that’s a worthy cause. The United States of America was never founded to compel charity through government force. This event happened in time to avert that, I believe.
