The heart of the piece centers on the positions that he takes, the way that he has pandered so consistently on important, important issues, issues on much we'd like to see our politicians have some kind of consistency, some kind of backbone. He's repeatedly just changed positions completely and pandered totally to the right wing. When Rush Limbaugh says, "Jump," he says, "How high?" Well, there's a kernel of truth in this. Which is one reason why Romney is such a lousy candidate.
Namely: he has pandered so consistently on important, important issues . . . He's repeatedly just changed positions completely . . . ."
But he doesn't change positions because he's a wimp, nor is he ready to bow to conservatives and jump as high as Rush tells him. Far from pandering to the right wing, he is a baby-killing, gay activist, socialist, big government liar. And far from being a wimp, he's proud of it. He's entitled. It's his turn to be president. He just needs to lie to get there. And his flipperflopping is clear to the dullest eye.

Obama the wimp: unable to act like a President(thefirstpost.co.uk - Sunday, June 06, 2010)
...Until Obama, the last president to earn wimp ranking was Jimmy Carter whose chances of re-election 30 years ago expired when he gave wimpish speeches about America's "malaise" and was photographed beating off a rabbit that swam up to his canoe and tried to board it. Obama isn't in that sort of trouble yet, but he's drifting close...

[”They're just recycling.”]
The whole Bain Capital/Outsourcing theme of the Obama camp is recycled from the Teddy Kennedy-Mitt Romney Senate contest. Some of the same laid off workers in Kennedy's 1994 ads appear in Obama’s 2012 ads. Because Teddy won, the Obama strategists figured it would work again. But did they consider Kennedy would have won in Massachusetts no matter who his opponent was? What happened when Kennedy challenged Carter—no Mr. Popularity—in 1980?

Newsweek magazine, Tina Brown's magazine, now owned Barry Diller. .... You know they've really gone to hell when people like that are running the show. Tina Brown's a fashion/wagtongue editor, and Barry Diller ..... ? A Hollywood godling with an ego to match. Credibility? Reliability? Stature? Not so much.
