Dr. William Gray did have a run-in with some stoogette in CSU's Engineering School several years ago; but they made Dr. Gray professor emeritus, and he was plenty old enough to retire from active teaching. He still runs the Tropical Meteorology Project at CSU; and he still releases hurricane prediction forecasts.

I'm glad to hear he's still around, and that the witch hunt didn't succeed. I had gathered that what had happened to him did not leave him "a happy camper"....perhaps he had wanted to keep teaching, I dunno.
