If we build the pipeline. why are we shipping all the oil to a Gulf Sea Port? Where is the oil going from there?
That's where the refineries are.
Heavy crude refineries, primarily in Louisiana, are ready to add Canadian “bitumen derived” crude to supplement oil imported from Mexico and Venezuela. Additional refineries in Illinois, Michigan and other states had upgraded in anticipation of receiving Canadian crude, which would have supported continued operation at pipeline delivery pricing.
