Talks over the UN Arms Trade Treaty fell apart today, effectively killing the agreement. The Arms Trade Treaty Legal Blog reports that the process seemed to be moving to completion when the United States requested an extension to the time to negotiate the agreement. This opened the door to other countries to begin registering objections, and it soon became clear that reaching agreement within the allowed timeframe would be impossible. The proposed treaty, which raised considerable domestic opposition from gun rights advocates in the United States, died before it had a chance to become a threat. As a delegate from China observed, "C'est la vie et la vie c'est ça."

A lot of folks around these parts think and feel that you may be quite squishy regarding some positions and ideas we espouse. I firmly believe that this single issue could reinvigorate a nationwide awakening. A few reasons why, if I may.
1.) Sovereignty of America is every American citizen's birthright. We founded a government to protect it. Conservative ideal only?
2.) The one world collectivists would be hysterically self identified.
3.) More sleeping couldn't help but notice. Many may become inquisitive. Bet there are more Americans that would remember being such.
4.) Should Mr. Romney speak to removing the UN from America, it would still leave open an area of compromise regarding what form of delegation may represent US interests to whatever body remained.
5.) Large Federal expenditure reduced.
6.) Less hostiles and the diplomatically immune within the nation's border.
7.) Real Estate which an American entrepreneur could develop.
8.)There could be no doubt that Mitt gets it.
9.) I would personally volunteer to strike the first chisel for the new image on RUSHmore.
Someone list cons please. I'll start with howls of isolationism. Ignoring the fact that one of the pros previously subsumed discussion of a representative delegation wherever such august body resides.
I kind of like the seizure by eminent domain and sale to the Smithsonian option myself. Gives it the historic trash heap irony along with the eviction.

That is a good graphic. The rest of the pictuires in that series are horrifying and I think they’re something that every China lover should be forced to see.
I have come to the conclusion that about the ONLY reason they do exist is to destroy the US, being the vehicle through which that is accomplished.
