Easiest solution is to use handheld PIN pads so that the cashier can hand it to the customer. I’ve seen them in lots of stores here.

that is likely what Walmart will do.

However, with PCI compliance regulations. a small cored handheld pin with card swipe can cost 1500-2000 dollars installed. Per register.

Attention Walmart shoppers! Price increase on isle 1!
