One article recently said that Virgil Goode could be Romney's "undoing"; especially in Virginia.

It is possible. Romney’s liberal record makes his campaign rhetoric look like hypocrisy, which nobody likes.

The people voting for Goode were never going to vote for Romney or Obama under any circumstance, hence it is a moot question. If theh didn’t vote for Goode, it wouldn’t help Romney.

No, this election is too dire to vote “Perot”

The Marxist must go - then we’ll deal with the RINO

Romney must hold onto his liberal base, but that makes it nearly impossible for him to compete for conservative votes.

No - I don't think Virgil Goode - longtime Democrat - turned Independent - turned Republican - turned Constitution Party - will end up being that much of a factor.

The Independent Green Party of Virginia, according to Ballot Access News, put the single most third party candidates on the ballot for US House in Virginia, since 1916! Janet Murphy one of the Indy Greens advocating for “More Trains, Less Traffic”. Indy Greens advocate for more rail jobs! Solar jobs! Wind jobs! Renewable energy jobs! Geothermal jobs! Janet Murphy joined Virgil Goode at Train Day in Manassas, Virginia. The Independent Green Party calls for high speed rail across Virginia, and nationwide to save lives, and create jobs. Build Rail Now!

I predicted many times on FR that if Romney was the R nominee, the Tea Party would have a candidate on the ballot in most red states and Baraq would win with a Clintonian plurality.

That didn’t happen.
There’s no national Tea Party candidate, just some fringers.
I don’t see Goode having any effect outside of Virginia.

Third party candidates who got serious numbers of votes like Anderson and Perot were getting big publicity well before Labor Day.

I’d guess outside of FR and Virginia, Virgil is about as well known as I am.

I think Mitt Romney is going to cost Virgil Goode the election.

Virgil Goode,,,, Virgil Goode....
Now that’s certainly a name recognizable enough to get maybe 4 of the “gravel brain” party votes!

Personally, I bet my best dog Tucker would do better.

Anyone that does not recognize the patriotic need to vote for the one candidate that has a realistic chance to replace nobama and dire consequence if nobmama gets reelected, needs o seriously tthink about the old hippy days saying of America, Love it or leave it”.

I do believe Goode will cause Romney to choke in Virginia. The race is supposedly 50/50 and since Goode is from a conservative district in Virginia, votes that Romney must get, it’s a real probability.

Oh please. If Romney can’t get enough electorals without Virginia than he deserves to lose. I will say that Virgil Goode deserves to be our President. However, he will not cost Romney the election. If Romney loses the election, it will be because of Romney.

Mr. RomneyCARE does NOT DESERVE to be POTUS.

This is not a coronation.

Mr. RomneyCARE is more avarice than conservatism.

Mr. RomneyCARE is more cowardness than patriotism.

Mr. RomneyCARE is THE backstabber who cost the GOP
the election in 2008.

Should Goode pull enough votes from Romney that Obama stays in office, Goode will go down in history with a reputation blacker than Benedict Arnold.

No. Virgil Goode is almost a nobody. He's a two bit congresscritter like Bob Barr.

3rd parties are nothing more than protest votes which have been losers, are losers, and always will be losers. Those unhappy with the parties and actually want to change things can enact change through the R's or D's. It's starts locally, takes a long time to do, and most people don't have the patience or logistical ability to do it concentrating on the presidential races where we have the least control. Be leaders, don't wait to be lead.

I think Goode is a fine man but he presents a HUGE risk to Romney, especially in VA where he is very well known.
