This is now Reed’s Indoor Range - used to take visitors from Japan there when I worked for a Japanese company around the time this happened. They loved shooting.

I took a few dozen Japanese engineers and military personnel out shooting when I worked at Yuma Proving Ground. They loved it as well. Very polite, conscientious, and disciplined people.

They were obviously up and comers. The Japanese hierarchy did not choose just anyone to come to America and test their weapons.

I worked at letting them know that most Americans were armed and knew how to shoot.

I never feel comfortable around the guys at the front counter.
