‘Tell me all about the evils of “big pharma” when you have to undergo surgery without anesthesia and or have to deal with severe pain post surgical. “

Big Pharma provided the extraordinary drug cocktails that saved my husband from death by acute leukemia.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them.

Yea. “Big Pharma” is “evil” to some until they need the very drugs that “Big Pharma” provides. I’m so very glad BTW that your husband’s life was saved and that he is still with you- what a Blessing to you both. : )

My SIL is a breast cancer survivor – nearly 20 years now from her initial diagnosis, mastectomy and the follow up chemo treatments (extraordinary drug cocktails) that saved her life. Her husband, my brother underwent surgery for Spinal stenosis just a few years ago. He would have been in excruciating and unbearable pain both pre and post op if it were not for the pain meds he was prescribed. And thankfully he had a very good surgeon and after his recovery and many months of PT, he no longer needs any pain meds, not even an OTC.

Big Pharma, pain meds and the doctors who ethically proscribe them to people who legitimately need them are not the problem. Unethical doctors and drug seekers who will seek out drugs anyway they can are a problem but IMO, you don’t punish all for the actions of a few.
