Many kids' lives are dominated by projected images on television, movies, video games, computers and smart phones.
Over time technology has allowed the images to be made more intense and impactful upon the consciousness.
I wonder what percent of the average kid's life is spent interacting with real people and situations around them versus having their attention occupied with images.
