“hmm ~ been in the neighborhood ~ looped around N. Anna getting lost going to the Richard Nixon library.”
Hmmm. You sure were lost!! The two places are 6.8 miles apart!!
N. Anna is severe barrio.
Recalled what we were doing there as soon as i saw the shopping center.
This particular neighborhood would seem to be in one of the oldest settled areas in Riverside County ~ and I mean old. When the Germans moved in these people were already there ~ had their town and farm sites laid out after the Law of the Indies!
Anna itself looks like it may have been around a plaza, with the rest of the area being 1940s rebuild ~
BTW, I ain't going there again, but it doesn't have the feel of a particularly nasty neighborhood.
NOTE: We were coming up SW of that area from the vicinity of Magnolia ~ and we hadn't got on a freeway ~ just those older county roads. It's easy to get lost on them if someone steals the road signs.
