Thanks. I did not read that carefully, or perhaps I would not have referred to an ongoing marriage as “a previous relationship.”
It was poorly written. Most of us think of currently being married as ... well, currently being married, but if they were going to mention the children, something had to be said to indicate that his present girlfriend wasn’t their mother.
Ah, the confusion of modern life ... and of course, when one is dead, all “relationships” become “previous,” so to speak.
And that said, saving the life of an innocent woman, whether it was his girlfriend or a total stranger, was the right thing to do.
