You are sure ready to play fast and loose with those cops lives. The truth is, nobody could be sure what was in there, and simply walking in and playing “lethal weapon” red wire/green wire was certain to kill or badly injure some cop. Slow, deliberate caution was the proper approach here. I cannot think of a single reason to speed it up that is worth a needless death or maiming.
There’s some really odd denial here about getting to the bottom of what this guy is and was doing. Not the dive-in forensic folks I remember.
