Yeah, it sure seems like there were a lot of kids there that late at night.
I had the same thought--but I'm still working on what sort of parent doesn't marry the father/mother of their child. I can out "old fashion" you--LOL!
That was my initial reaction, as well. Could be my age, but I don’t think so.
The article quoted them as saying that “they figured the children would sleep through the movie” , but your answer of selfish does sum it up well.
Rohrs said the two took their children to the show because they figured they'd sleep through it. "We just moved here from New Mexico," he said. "We have to go out. We have to do things.
Spot on!!!
EXACTLY.
As soon as I heard about there being any young children at this midnight showing of a PG-13 movie, I had the very same thoughts. You'll fork over $xx for your tickets but, you won't (pass up the snack bar to) pay a babysitter?
Although I voiced said thoughts to my wife (who agreed wholeheartedly), I wouldn't dare post them anywhere but here, lest I be accused of being overly judgmental and/or blaming the (selfish) parents of the young victims. Used to be, parents sacrificed and set aside childish ways for their kids' sake.
At any rate, I'm sure at least a few of those parents are re-thinking their selfish choices.
thank you!!!
GET A SITTER. It’s rated R for a reason. Asshats.
