If hard enough, it only takes one good solid blow to the back of the head to cure it permanently. ;o)

To my knowledge there is no known “cure” for sensory-neural tinnitis. Some people experience relief from “masking”, which is putting a narrow band of white noise in the ear with a hearing aid type device... but that can often make speech more difficult to understand. I’ve heard of people sleeping with such devices or leaving the radio on with just static at night.

My new Costco hearing aids made it much worse, plus making people knocking on the door sound like TOT Artillery. Drop a pot in my kitchen ... and I may have to shoot you!

another crappy worded headline by professionals. first time i read it i thought reorganizing could cause a new stroke.
i have tinnitus from mortar and tank gunfire. 80% of the time it’s just there not really annoying but wish it was gone. 10% it’s my own white noise generator. and 10% it drives me crazy. i ahve music on when i go to sleep which helps and focusing on it with meditation helps. and i just suck it up and am gratiful i can still hera.
