I'm not a Mormon and believe their religion is bogus. However, I have no reason to fear that Mitt Romney, a 'dedicated Mormon', would be hostile to Christianity. Mormons like to call themselves 'Christians'. I disagree with that but it also leads me to believe that a Mormon president, 'dedicated' or not, wouldn't be slighting and effectively insulting Christianity at almost every opportunity.
I appreciate your hope, dear friend, that Romney will be all fuzzy and warm toward all the Founders, the Constitution, and to the Christian faith which was known to have fired the foundations for this once great nation.
Extraordinary, however, that we are willing to risk it all betting on the guy who governed and legislated as anathema to all things Christian in Massachusetts.
His known RECORD is what he is running on.
His wife, IMHO, has some of the attributes of a bully in the making, while his own milquetoast countenance belies the proven record of his willingness to pull legs off grasshoppers; as he did in moves toward redistribution of wealth, in MA, his assault on religious liberty, in MA, and his proclivity for abortion (details of which are known far and wide) which for most of his life was his preferred arguement.
Romney Milquetoast cut the legs off all conservative contenders when it was clear he wasn’t wanted by the conservative activists, and he hasn’t thrown us a crumb since. With the backing of the power and money players in the RINO ESTABLISHMENT, who are now socialists, we are cooked.
The convention is the last stand for the grassroots to dump this poseur, but it seems quite clear that since even the Ron Paul forces are reportedly caved that the convention will be now a coronation for the official advancement of a socialist at the top of our ticket.
We do the same thing over and over and dare to hope for different results, so now we have no home. Things have gotten progressively worse and will be even worse next time.
We simply delay our resistance, which guarantees there will be a greater cost when it finally arrives. Or else we go the way of South America.
