Sounds like the perp is a CRAZY, just as in the Tucson shooting. NOT a “right-wing Tea-Party terrorist”, as some have been trying to spin both incidents!!!
Both incidents are NOT for the President to handle, but for local authorities.
May the Memory of all those who died in this incident be Eternal, and may our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ comfort their loved ones and also the survivors!!! May He send healing to those who are fighting for their lives or have been otherwise injured!

From the way his mother immediately identified him, I think you’re right. He was probably being treated for some serious illness that was carefully concealed. For some perverse reason, known only to him, he obsessed on Batman, just as Junior Hinkley obsessed on Jody Foster, went out, and converted that obsession into an atrocity.
