A Wichita Falls man with a history of criminal activity was shot in the left leg when a surprised homeowner found him in a room Tuesday afternoon.
Wichita Falls police were en route to a burglary of a habitation call at 4:27 p.m. when dispatchers told officers shots were fired. According to Public Information Officer Joe Snyder, the homeowner shot at the suspect when he found him in the master bedroom of his home.
Nieves Molina Jr., 29, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of a habitation and one count of criminal trespassing following the incident.
According to police reports, the homeowner heard noise in the master bedroom of his home. When he went to investigate, he found the suspect holding a pry bar in one hand. The homeowner fired one shot at him.
The suspect fled on foot to the backyard, jumped the fence and ran east. The homeowner thought the suspect went into his neighbor's home, and police surrounded the residence.
The glass of the back door to the neighbor's home was found broken, and the woman who lived there said a man was in her back bedroom. She told officers she knew him, but she hadn't seen him in years.
The police entered through the back door and found the suspect hiding in a back bedroom of the woman's home.

What a coincidence!
Upon booking him into the Wichita County Jail, jailers noticed blood on his left pants leg. Molina had an entry and exit wound from a bullet on his left thigh.
Mr. Homeowner needs a larger caliber gun. And he needs to aim higher.
He allegedly fired one shot at him. Hey, if it's ok for the crook it's ok for the victim.
Homeowner needs to fire his firearm more often. The low shot probably was an anticipatory flinch.
(”IF” I owned any guns, they would all have laser grips on them.
You can still be high or low depending on the varying distance of the target.
Certainly—but it helps—especially if you don’t have your glasses on....
However, with the lasers, I hit the bull’s eye every time.
