Owners object to brands' support of National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce
"The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is an entity that collects money from major corporations to further promote policies for the gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders, and as Christians, we don't support that," said owner Mike Fuller.
Fuller has even updated his restaurant's bare-bones website to include a notice about the boycott:
Why Waha Bar & Grill is currently not carrying Coors, Miller, or Pepsico products:
Miller/Coors, Pepsico, and many other companies (see list below) have taken a political stance by becoming corporate founders of the NGLCC (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce). The NGLCC is an organization of American businesses unified by a common objective of securing social, economic, and political gains for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. Sponsors of the NGLCC donate portions of their sales to support politicians, programs, and policies that pledge support for LGBT issues.
While we believe in the importance of voting at the booth on Election Day, we also believe in voting with the dollars we spend. We are Christians who do not believe in supporting the goals and the politicians who support the goals of the NGLCC. Please consider becoming a conscientious consumer and join with us in requesting that the companies listed below redirect their charitable contributions toward non-divisive, non-political entities and charities such as cancer research, heart disease, or fighting world hunger.
Thank you for your understanding,
Mike and Mari Fuller, owners

thanks for that list and the link!
I think if you asked a moderator to change the link in the article so that it goes to the statement on the restaurant’s website (which deserves the clicks) instead of to a gross LGBT website, they might do it for you.
Thank you for that link.
Will ask them.
isn’t Miller owned by a German company?
EUrotrash infestation.
“I had no idea about Pepsi/Miller/Coors in this way, and it will affect my buying habits going forward.”
I was a lifelong (50+ years) Pepsi drinker until about 2 years ago when I saw one of their TV commercials promoting homosexuality: (3 young guys sitting a table in a bar; two of the guys were encouraging the friend to walk up to the bar where a pretty girl was sitting and introduce himself, telling him “you know she wants you to, she keeps looking at you, etc.” Finally he gets up; walks toward the girl, she swivels on the stool to face him, but he walks past her; toward another girl further down the bar, who also turns to face him, but he walks past her too and proceeds to a pool table where a fag greets him and they get cozy.)
I swore off Pepsi right then and there.
I’ve known about Miller being a “proud sponsor” of some of the depravity in SF known as the “Folsom Street Follies” for many years, so when Coors merged with Miller brewing, I had to give up another of my favorite brands.
I’m afraid however, that the force of the evil tide will eventually inundate all the public corporations, and leave us with no choice but to grudgingly patronize the products.
there are now other soda companies putting out HFCS free soda - and you want CANE sugar, as beet sugar is GMO’d
Jones and Cap’t Eli’s are the top two.
Now ask this: Coca Cola does not give us a choice of at least one of their formulas HFCS free, made with cane sugar.
HOWEVER, it’s not because they don’t make it. They do.
They make it for Canadian and Mexican sales - AND in glass bottles - because those countries refuse it any other way.
So why can’t we have the cholce? (You CAN get the Mexican glass bottled with cane sugar in some places close to the border - where there’s a heavier Hispanic population.
All Americans have to do is ‘vote’ with the pocketbook. Find the sodas made with cane sugar and buy them. When it hits the tipping point, we’ll see the big outfits offer a choice. BTW - Cap’t Eli’s root beer is like the root beer of old. GREAT taste.
Captn Elis Root Beer, Ginger Beer, and Parrot Punch.

So the lower their HR ranking, the LESS LIKELY you are to contract a STD from associating with their products!!!
I’ve sworn off soda for years, but my wife drinks Diet Coke quite a bit. I won’t buy any Pepsi products anymore.
As far as Miller/Coors, I’ll speak with my wallet. I prefer Anheuser-Busch and Sam Adams beers anyway, and local breweries are prolific. Not all of them can support this sickness.
These owners have every right to do this. And they should not be criticized for doing so.
I like throwbacks because they are made with real sugar. But if I'm going to drink HFCS, I might as well go with the Local grocery store off-brand.
I'll probably give up colas altogether. Jones colas are hard to find and I have to travel 25 minutes to get them when they are in stock.
I recently read an article linking HFCS to fatty liver syndrome. The same article said rather than the conventional wisdom that Fatty liver is caused by obesity, HFCS causes fatty liver and fatty liver causes obesity.
HOWEVER, its not because they dont make it. They do.
They make it for Canadian and Mexican sales - AND in glass bottles - because those countries refuse it any other way.
So why cant we have the cholce? (You CAN get the Mexican glass bottled with cane sugar in some places close to the border - where theres a heavier Hispanic population.
You can also get Mexican Coke by the case in some Sam's Clubs.
