A new Romney ad out this morning uses two isolated sentences from the Obamas speech to portray the president as demonizing business owners, continuing a push Romney and the Republicans have been making for a week. As Mason Adams noted earlier this week, a full reading of Obamas remarks makes it apparent that the president was arguing that government has a role in building the infrastructure roads, bridges, schools that support commerce.
****”The team explains...”***
I dont remember any “Teams” being assembled when a conservative makes an embarrasing remark. I guess it’s just part of the media’s commitment to an informed public!!
We call this paper THE RED TIMES......very liberal paper in conservative SW VA (except inner-city Roanoke)
Don’t forget-in the same speech, he mocked successful people for “thinking they’re smarter,” and that they “worked harder,” to which Obama said there are “a lot of smart people” who also “ work hard.” When you put all of that together, it’s clear he meant to cut success down completely, not give credit to government’s “contribution.”
