New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has emerged as one of the nations highest-profile supporters of gun control, demanded on Friday that the presidential candidates stand up and tell us what theyre going to do about mass shootings.
Asked about the Colorado mass shootings at a movie theater showing The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colo., that killed at least 12 people, Bloomberg said politicians needed to offer policy proposals in addition to prayers and sympathy.
Soothing words are nice, Bloomberg said during an interview on WOR News Talk Radio 710 in New York City. But maybe its time the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what theyre going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country. ... No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?

... and Libtards like me are just beginning to start our motors on this screed ... again!
Romney will have to be injected with massive doses of starch directly to the spine in order for him not to collapse on this issue.
Make a new law you dipshnit liberal. The killers are not following the law that you cannot murder, maybe they will follow the law that you cannot have a gun.
Guns are illegal in Chicago, you see how that has worked.
Hey Bloomy how many people got shot in your city last night in individual shootings?
How many have been committed by deranged white males wearing body armor? And, Mayor, what are you doing about the NYC murder rate? (And whatever you are doing or are not doing -- it isn't working.)
Well as Governor, Romney already implemented his own “Assault Weapons” ban so we know where his true position lies on “Scary” guns.
There's an air to this that insinuates these events happen daily.
How about going to Israel for a week, Bloomie? I'd bet you'd feel more safe there than you do in your own city. Then again, you've got armed security details, so you don't count, do you?
This WILL become the undersea quake to start a gun-ban tsunami. It's coming.
Stocking up before January just in case.
Heck, 12 dead? That’s almost a typical night in Chicago!
Bloomberg really fancies himself to be a national leader, doesn’t he?
Unemployment just passed 10% in NYC. Maybe he might want to pay some attention to affairs in his own jurisdiction, and we Americans will tend to ours.
Check you at the entrance where a lot of people are gathered. If you don't have a gun, they issue you one to shoot back at the bad guys. I wonder how many good guns (concealed carriers) were at the event?
are you kidding me?
after the clinton “assault weapons ban” expired, governor mcromney instituted his own personal “assault weapon ban” for his state....
what do you think he will do with executive power?
What are you going to do?
A whole movie theater full of people and not a single concealed carry permitee who is capable of firing back? After the 2002 Moscow Theater hostage debacle, I woke up to how inviting a theater full of people would be to any terrorist, especially a jihadist.
The people of Colorado can handle it just fine.
If somebody in that theater had been armed and trained, this pompous mental midget wouldn't be asking that question.
What all the gungrabbers are really doing today is throwing a party. They love it when somebody goes postal; they don’t give a rat’s ass about the people killed.
The Zimmerman case didn’t cause enough fear and chaos.
Now they can further their gun control crap. Hmmm
Require every citizen to own and get training in how to use a gun. Enact “Shall Issue” CCW laws in every state. The bad guys won’t be so free with guns if they know that people are ready to shoot back.
I actually agree with this POS for once, politicians should clearly state their positions and intentions regarding gun control. That makes it easier for us to root out the hidden gun grabbers and then vote the SOBs out of office.
