Last month I convened an emergency meeting of my cabinet and top homeland security, intelligence and defense officials. Across the country trains had derailed, including one carrying industrial chemicals that exploded into a toxic cloud. Water treatment plants in several states had shut down, contaminating drinking water and causing Americans to fall ill.

And I doodled throughout the meeting!
So, who really wrote it while Obama was playing golf?
Obama didnt write this. He couldnt string more than 5 words together without help from his handlers.
He didn’t even read it. Someone may have briefed him on its contents, maybe. As they walked to the green to make a putt.
I’d wager he did not write the article, simply passed it off as his and had a speechwriter or some sort write it. =.=
And I stopped reading right there. Narcissistic bastard.
When I think of Obama, I always think of a report/rumor which came out during the final weeks of the campaign back in ‘08, that Obama’s people were upset at Bill Clinton for something he mentioned on the stump. Essentially what Clinton allegedly said was Obama told his staff (in regards to the banking crisis perhaps) to just come up with something and he’ll sell it. I guess Clinton meant to praise Obama’s ability at persuasion but it came off as though that’s all Obama was, a super duper salesman who can convince people of anything.
Regardless of the validity of this report, throughout Obama’s time in office i have often been reminded of it, for I think that’s basically what he is: a gifted salesman blessed with a great voice and smile. So why not play golf and shoot hoops all the time? Just tell him what to sell and he’ll sell it.
Well, if he warned us, expect something to happen one way or another...”I told you but nobody listened. But I’ll still help you any way I can.”
Interesting that you think Obama is a good salesman with good speaking ability.
It’s possible, I guess, but I see him more as the beneficiary of media support, approval and even worship.
What would Obama be without the media backing him up every single minute of every single day, year in, year out, starting with his speech to the Democrap convention in 2004?
I don’t think he’d be a super-salesman at all. I think he’d just be some run-of-the-mill hack democrap politician.
He has been anointed by the media as The One. That’s what makes him shine. There’s nothing else there. No ability of any kind whatsoever. I mean, have you ever heard him off-teleprompter? He’s a bumbling idiot.
I agree wholeheartedly about the media. Last night i commented on a thread mocking his “You Didn’t Build That” line, saying that a good spoof would be a picture of him in the Oval Office with the words “You Didn’t Earn That”, “Somebody Else Did It For You” and at the bottom have symbols for all the major MSM organizations.
Yet on top of that i do think he is at least a very good salesman. After his speech at the 2004 convention i remember thinking ‘uh oh, this guy is going to be trouble for Republicans some day’. I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly though.
Let me put it this way: if he had been a Republican with fairly conservative views, i think many here would be thrilled at the thought of him running for President or at least being picked as the running mate. He has the voice, he has the charm, he is able to sound as though he means every word he says. He’s vastly overrated in most other respects, but i don’t think he is when it comes to salesmanship.
Take him off-script and sure, you can see it’s all smoke and mirrors, but when he has his spiel down pat there aren’t too many better in my opinion.
You make some good points.
Good one!
But it was a “big important meeting where we talked about stuff.”
Obviously an election year piece where BO is using FUD to get control over the Internet
Read through all the comments and no more than 3 were supportive of BO. If he wins in November is will be because of bought votes and fraud. Most americans are sick of the loser in the White House.
