Around 1995, our son-in-law moved his family -our daughter, and our first grandkids, 6 and 4, from Ventura County, CA, to Littleton CO., because the dad (divorced our daughter 1997), wanted to move his boys away from the encroaching gang element creeping in from L.A.
Then they had Colombine, where our grandsons were in a lock-down at a nearby enough school, ‘copters overhead, police cars screaming by, nobody sure what’s happening.
Then a cousin of another son-in-law was murdered in her Littleton, CO gift store - I’ve shopped there - murder not solved from about 5 years ago.
There’s been mayhem around these boys in ‘safer’ CO since they moved there, while Ventura County is fairly quiet for now, thank you - - -
